New Adventures In Painting

July 18th I took a painting class at #PaintingWithATwist
I fell in love. Just what I need. Another hobby. :D
This is the first painting I did. I really love it. Mistakes and all!

The colors used on this project. Black, white, and red. When I say black. I really mean a lot of black.  The amount on the plate is just a teaser.  Refills were required.
Exciting stuff here.

I had no idea where we were going at this point in the classn   M
. I just hoped I was doing ok.
If you walk around and look at everyones work at the end of class you will be amazed at the multitude of differences and everyone had the exact same instructions.

I can see a little of the sample painting coming through.

Giving the moon some nice texture and dimension.

Drawing the tree limbs.
Oh my goodness. This is where some people really expressed themselves and made the painting their own.

The finished piece.  I see things I wish I had done differently and I see things I really like. It's a great learning piece.

Photo from Facebook sitePainting With A Twist.
They are all just beautiful.

Nanny and Wendy

I got these for Wendy and Nanny.
It was Nanny's birthday and Wendy's death anniversary. I think the flowers look beautiful and I'm sure the solar light looks great at night.
Thank you Butch for putting them out. Much appreciated. Miss you all so much.

Spring Flowers

Our irises and spring flowers are blooming nicely. These pictures taken throughout late March and April 2015.

Gypsies Tree

Gypsies tree has grown so much.
It has been a little over a year since we lost her and we miss her so much.

New Kittens

Born April 27,2015. This was Oir 19th wedding anniversary.

snake in the house all winter

This snake spent the entire winter in our sun room.
It came in with one of my big potted plants.
I can not believe we were around it barefoot and my husband had his hands next to it carrying the plant in and out of the house.
The snake is now headless.

Cooking

We have been cooking a lot and it's just so good I need to share.
Love to cook and I enjoy it more and more. Making food to feed my loved ones is a comfort to me and I love when they enjoy the food. Brian and I cook well together.
Making chicken poppers. Almost all are finally finished.

Making enchiladas

Pintos with lots of goodies. Onions, bell peppers, jalapeƱo, smoked sausage, and oh so many spices.

Little Missy is trying to help with the smoked sausage.

Baked potatoes with banana peppers, onions, and lots of spices.

This BBQed chicken came out so wonderful. It didn't last long.

Very large pan of baked beans. Loved having all the family around. It was such a wonderful day.

Spring is here and flowers are waking up

I love spring. The pear tree is blooming and looks great since we trimmed it last summer. The big rotten oak we took down is allowing so much light into the yard. The oak with limbs over the house looks great since it was trimmed back.
The flowers are starting to wake up.

Amaryllises are growing

I love to watch the amaryllises growth over the last few months.  They are so majestic. Started these bulbs late in December and these last photos taken on February 20, 2015.
